The Superpop Group started life in 1987 as a popcorn company manufacturing ready to eat snacks to supermarkets & schools. Sales to cinemas consisted of a few ingredients such as corn, oil & salt but the vast majority was big 1kg bags of ready to eat butter flavoured popcorn - most cinemas didn’t pop their own in those days.

While we have now diversified into manufacturing packaging items for the concessions industry & supplying janitorial requisites to our customers, our manufacturing facility in Mt Waverley still runs nonstop churning out some of the best tasting popcorn in Australia.

Superpop sells ready to eat popcorn snacks to every supermarket chain in Australia, schools, shops & video libraries. Our Sydney factory packs microwave popcorn for supermarkets, shops, video libraries & the ever increasing promotions market. We are even able to organise your own brand of popcorn or reserve one of our existing brands for special customers.

The healthy & tasty alternative

All of our popcorn is air popped. It is not fried in oil. We are very conscious of current health trends & have gone further with our exclusive range of popcorn for schools which are approved by various government groups & school canteen associations as being fit for sale to school kids.

Nobody in Australia has a range of flavours that we manufacture as we have Butter flavoured corn, cheese, chicken, BBQ, Pizza, Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream, Sweet / Salt, Salt & Vinegar in the savoury range & Caramel (3 varieties) & Coloured in the sweet.

And if you want something special we will make it for you. No problem – we have got nothing better to do.

Make your own popcorn

Superpop supplies most of Australia’s popcorn equipment so we can sell anybody a range of equipment. We have inexpensive poppers for the beginner right through to giant poppers only found in cinemas. And we have over $300,000 of parts to service any equipment that might break down.

As we supply over 95% of Australian cinemas we also have all the ingredients. And the packaging if you want to make your treat something special.

And if you want to make your own popcorn at home we can supply all the ingredients including flavours to enjoy product that you cannot purchase in any supermarket.

Our network

The Superpop head office is located in Melbourne. The offices form part of our distribution warehouse in Dandenong South while our popcorn manufacturing still occurs in the suburb of Mt Waverley. The Sydney warehouse is located in Minto, our Brisbane warehouse in Sumner Park & Perth in Jandakot. It is because we have our own warehouses in these places that we are able to offer speedy, inexpensive distribution to our customers.
We also have a distribution warehouse in Adelaide but use contract couriers.
In 2005 we opened our warehouse in Auckland, New Zealand where we distribute concessions goods around the country.
This means that all of our customers have cheaper freight if you live in one of the above-mentioned cities. And if you live in the outback most likely we will be able to dispatch goods from one of warehouses to give you a speedy & less expensive than normal delivery.
